Dr. Amanda Reid has nearly 20 years of experience applying social science methodologies to strategic challenges in the humanitarian and private sectors. She currently serves as the Obama Foundation's Senior Manager of Strategy and Impact. Amanda specializes in conducting trauma-informed research and training activities in low-income and underserved communities in the US, East Africa, West Africa, and India. Prior to joining the Obama Foundation, Amanda led the research and evaluation team at Rotary International, which conducted large-scale, global, multi-lingual, multi-method strategic research initiatives. Dr. Reid earned a BA in psychology at Spelman College. She went on to earn her master's degree and PhD in clinical and community psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
