Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, required
Post high school training/education in clerical sciences and word processing/spread sheets, preferred.
3 years’ experience in a secretarial/administrative position, with word processing and spread sheet creation experience, required
Knowledge of and experience with network computer and phone systems
Dictation and short hand experience/training, preferred
Experience with fundraising and donor management software

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred

Donor relations experience highly preferred

3 years’ experience in a secretarial/administrative position
3 years progressive experience in Excel, Microsoft Word software applications. Minimum 45 wpm
Required ability to set up, formulate and graph spread sheets
Donor relations experience preferred

Performs varied administrative support and secretarial activities, gift acceptance, processing and acknowledgment activities in regard to the Ingalls Development Foundation.

Works under minimum supervision and acts with a great degree of independence in the resolution of procedural and administrative problems. Deals with confidential and sensitive issues relating to people, finances, and the organization.

Provide secretarial and related clerical services to the Department.

In-depth understanding of administrative work systems and office procedures including time management and prioritization.

Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competency by attending all mandatory in services; following all written goals and objectives; and seeking educational and learning experiences in areas of identified growth needs.

Assists in enhancing productivity and efficient operation of the department/hospital while continually seeking areas for process improvement.

Ability to safeguard highly confidential information.

Above average written and verbal communications skills.

Sound problem solving and problem resolution techniques.

Knows, follows, and actively supports the philosophy, mission, and vision of Ingalls Memorial Hospital. Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care. Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate parties as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan.
