Job Summary
Manage the data and reporting program for the Donor Relations & Strategic Events team in Alumni Relations & Development (ARD). Establish priorities with management, lead cross-functional project teams, and manage team priorities and due dates.

Oversee day-to-day operations of data management staff to provide information, analysis, and strategy to support effective stewardship and event programs for ARD. Build and manage partnerships across the unit. Analyze and manage reporting templates, tools, and dashboards in support of regular and ad hoc reporting needs for departmental and external colleagues. Manage the invitation and registration cycle. Act as an advisor to other ARD teams for event and stewardship data, working to increase the use and efficiency of data and reporting in alignment with and in support of ARD’s goals and objectives.

Collaborate with colleagues in Strategic Information, Events, and Stewardship (SIES); across ARD; and the Vice President’s office to enhance, and support data driven decisions and applications relative to events. Communicate with Analytics & Business Intelligence to create data pulls for honor roll lists. Partner with Prospect Management on key data points for the donor life cycle.

Manage, evaluate, and participate in the assessment and refinement of departmental tools, including databases, web-based applications, and other software. Coordinate and perform data retrievals from departmental and other internal databases, using complex queries for select tightly managed events and stewardship activities, including material for presidential review. Assess and report on the need for new tools and services that support data functions. Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Manage, hire, train, and evaluate staff.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher required.

Experience
A minimum of three years of database and software information management, evaluation and manipulation experience or similar professional work experience required.
A minimum of one year of experience leading a project team or managing staff required.
Experience in relational database manipulation, design oversight and report retrieval required.
